Streaming devices - like Roku - are all about apps. Think of this like a glorified tablet. You must download apps in order to watch programs. Services such as YouTube TV, Sling TV or Hulu Live can provide you "over air" TV stations - but you pay for those subscriptions. There are many apps that you can download to provide you with ample program & movie viewing for free, you just won't get your live TV stations without a subscription service. Otherwise, use an antenna for your live TV.
