In my situation (4 plex) yes it works. I installed 5 feet after the meter attaching to 1 inch copper line. Saved my azz a couple of times with running toilets.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello - The StreamLabs Monitor only works on 3/4" or 1" L or M copper piping, CTS (Copper Tubing Sized) CPVC, and PEX piping. Please ensure that your main coming into the 4 plex is the correct size and type. If it is, the Monitor would work on the main line. If you needed to monitor each individual unit, then you may need to install multiple devices, on the branches leading to the apartments.
