QuestionDo you need to subscribe to monitoring service to use this product. Read something about bait and switch requiring 5.99 monthly fee?

- Answer No you don't need the subscription service to keep using the device, but once the "premium" trial service expires you do loose a lot of useful history and comparison information. It will still monitor your daily usage and send you alerts about leaks and remains fully functional.

QuestionCan this unit count usage up to a 500,000 gallons so I know when to change my filters?

While you can calculate total usage using the daily/monthly usage in the StreamLabs App, there is no "totalizing" feature that measures total gallons used. QuestionDoes this Streamlabs water monitoring product offer Apple HomeKit integration? Do you recommend in lieu of, or in conjunction with water sensing bugs on the floor near the hot water heater to alert in the event of flooding?

- Answer I'm sorry I can't answer your question about the Apple Home Kit, but for myself, I also added the floor sensors. The Streamlabs lets you know when water is flowing, but can't tell you where a leak is. It is great for letting you know how much water you are using each day. For the floor sensors, I recommend Govee. Very inexpensive and work great. They have individual alarms and a phone app also.

QuestionWill this work on 4 plex apt building which goes off only 1 water meter. One main water line which branches off into the 4 units?

- Answer In my situation (4 plex) yes it works. I installed 5 feet after the meter attaching to 1 inch copper line. Saved my azz a couple of times with running toilets.

QuestionI want a pdf report to let me know exactly how much water is used every month, and also per day, and per time of day and to be able to automatically send me the report via email. Is this feature available and is it free?

- Answer No... Streamlabs charges a monthly fee to be able to access this level of detail. You can only see your total daily, weekly, and monthly usage--not any more useful than a typical water bill.

Questionwill the streamlabs monitor work with iron pipes?

- Answer Hello - The StreamLabs Monitor is not compatible with iron piping. The StreamLabs Monitor only works on 3/4" or 1" L or M copper piping, CTS (Copper Tubing Sized) CPVC, and PEX piping. Iron piping is not an approved piping type and will have a larger diameter than CTS (Copper Tubing Size) piping. If installed with 3/4" iron piping we could not guarantee the accuracy of the measurements taken by the unit. The Monitor would not be able to sense that piping type as well. - Answer No. It is physically incapable of attaching properly to more than a 1 inch pipe.

- Answer I believe it will only fit from 1/2" copper to 1" copper, Check its specs for sure, but I am confident it will not do a 2" pipe.
