It is both, for Nikon a d Canon DSLR cameras. It includes manual settings with power varied from 1/1 to 1/128, in third-stop increments. It also includes auto TTL modes for both brands, in which the internal camera light meter of the camera decides the flash power and communicates that to the flash.
