A:AnswerWhen folded up it is still 22" long. It isn't very wide. If 22" is too long for your backpack you can always live the zipper unzipped on the one sice and let the end of the tripod stick out.
A:AnswerIt can be used but I can't recommend this tripod. This is the worst tripod I've ever had. It broke on my second time using it. I'd recommend a Ravelli Lightweight Aluminum Tripod if you want to stay on the lower end of tripods. I've had that one for years and it has not failed me. :) Good luck!
A:AnswerDon't know about that specific model, but it works with my Sony camcorder from the 80's, recent Samsung 360 camera & new Panasonic camcorder. The connection point has a fat little screw that attaches to the bottom of your camera. The bottom of my camcorders have a little divet with threads that the tripod screw fits perfectly.
This tripod is sturdy enough for my current needs. I feel the connection point with my equipment is solid. I'm very pleased with this product for the $. Hope this helps.
