This device in not intended to mount on a camera. If the camera is already on a tripod, you will need another tripod for this phone mount.
As to a light or microphone, you would be better off with some kind of workshop clamp. This unit squeezes the phone quite gently, as designed, since most cell phone are quite light weight. Anything heavy will likely slip out of the grip.
