Q: QuestionHow is the cold shoe on top? Are people having luck mounting a light or microphone?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer IF you mean something resembling the standard "hot shoe" for attaching flash guns to a camera, there is nothing of the sort. This device in not intended to mount on a camera. If the camera is already on a tripod, you will need another tripod for this phone mount. As to a light or microphone, you would be better off with some kind of workshop clamp. This unit squeezes the phone quite gently, as designed, since most cell phone are quite light weight. Anything heavy will likely slip out of the grip.

Q: QuestionCould this serve as a replacement phone mount for the 19" sunpac led ring light? My original phone mount broke.
Asked by FD.
- A:Answer the "jaws" on the phone mount squeeze very gently on the phone. There is no way to tighten the grip or lock it in place. So I suspect you would need something extra to secure something 19" wide, like cord or strong rubber bands or maybe some velcro.
