Q: QuestionWhat size is the release plate head on the tripod? Do I need to buy a separate release plate for every camera I own? ( I read it was 41mm) ??

• A:Answer If you are unfortunate enough to have purchased this tripod, please purchase a replacement head for proper use as the included head doesn't work correctly. To be specific, the plate is loose when camera is mounted causing the plate to move on the head. Also, the plate lever release pin doesn't easily move when mounting the camera to tripod. The legs are just ok... But the head is a total disaster. I'm just a couple days past best buy return period or I would certainly return this item.

Q: Questionis this sturdy enough for the heft of the Nikon P1000? Can it also be used as mono?

• A:Answer Yes it is sturdy enough. it is rated for 21.0 pounds, and the P1000 is around 3.1lbs. I use a Fuji X-T4 with a 50-140mm 2.8 on it, no problem. I wouldn't personally recommend using it for a monopod.
