you have to run 12 volts to each camera, the supplied cables already have the power cable together with the coax cable, they also supply the power adapter for the cameras in the box all you have to do is the installation, you don't have to buy any other equipment.

The cameras will connect directly to the DVR, the power connects to the power supply close to the DVR. I have a UPS running the DVR and cameras. With my setup they will continue to run for 45 minutes after the power goes out.

The cables for the cameras are specifically made for this application. They have separate power and signal wires.
