We would not recommend connecting cameras at distances longer than this due to potential video loss. The cables included in this kit are 60 feet long. Additional wiring is available sold separately.     • Answer No We bough this unit and Best Buy came out to install and the technician claims he cannot go over 10 feet a roof top is over 10 feet and the Teck was 6 feet so he claimed he could not go higher than 4 feet you would be best ordering from a security firm and have them install

  • QuestionDo you have to connect the cameras to a TV/monitor for them to work? Or can you just hook up the cameras without using a TV?

Once set up the cameras can be remotely accessed/controlled using our Swann Security application. Due to security reasons, not all settings can be adjusted remotely. Once the recorder is connected to the Wi-Fi and the settings have been adjusted, you can remotely access the device using our Swann Security application.     • Answer go to the menu, you have to look around but its there, disable the lights and sirens from any or all the cameras, thats what i did

  • QuestionThe specs says it records Audio but someone asked a question if it records audio and you said no. So if it doesn’t record audio then why does it say it does.

Limiting the mainstream recording setting may allow this to work, but you should compare the settings to determine if the recording quality is sufficient for your requirements. There is no specific limit but we recommend no more than 3 connections at once; the available bandwidth of the internet connection that the camera is using may also limit the connections that can be sustained. The cameras in this kit are weather resistant. We would not recommend using them outside of the recommended operating temperature and not expose them to the direct elements.
