Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. This recorder kit requires a monitor at the initial setup. Once the recorder is connected to the Wi-Fi and the settings have been adjusted, you can remotely access the device using our Swann Security application. If you would like to use this recorder without an Internet connection, a monitor will need to be connected. Click on the blue box on the bottom right-hand corner to live chat with a technical support agent or contact us over the phone.
