“How many cables & splitters? If there are 8 cameras in the system, why are there only 4 TVI cables included in the box? And how many splitters are included? I need to know how many power adapters I will be plugging into the wall or power strip if I decide to buy this Swann camera system. Thanks.”

It comes with a cable for each camera, so 8 in total. Each "cable" has a BNC video feed as well as integrated DC power cable. There are no splitters for video; however, there are two power adapters to plug in. (Each has a pigtail with 4 adapters for connecting power to each camera.) See image for example.
