Google will help you.....TVI is a type of transmission that can utilize coax "BNC cable." BNC is merely a type of connector on a coax cable (or in Swann's case, cheap RCA type cable that is not even shielded). TVI is a digital transmission and the Swann "BNC cable" type cameras (for which they give no indication as to what they are) are analog. TVI can transmit over longer distances and are backward compatible with analog cables.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have used both cables in 2 different installs. The only difference that I have noticed is that the tvi cables are smaller and lightweight. Not sure if that changes the use of them or not. I have not seen any difference in the quality of the picture.
