I would suggest an HDCVI camera with good RG6Q cable or an IP camera.

You really don't need one. The app is free and easy to use. Cameras are easy to set up. I was hesitant at first, I never heard of guardzilla. I took the leap of faith and now I'm glad I did. Go for it. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
