Q: QuestionI have an older model Swan 4-channel camera system that stopped recording on the DVR. I want to update, but I want to know if I can use the existing wiring with this system so I can just replace the system myself, instead of paying for installation.

Q: QuestionHow close would the nearest electrical outlet have to be from the camera's cable once it enters the home. I'm trying to map this out and prepare my home for installation (what is the length of the power cord/adapter)?

The BNC cable will carry the coaxial cable and a power line that will connect to the cameras power supply unit. The power adapter is about 3 feet. While the BNC cables can vary in size.
