Thanks for your question. The Doorbell has notches in the back which attach to the metal wall mount, and then you can lock it in place via a small screw in the base of the mount. In the event that your doorbell did get stolen, there is a high chance you would have a recording of the thief saved to the 24 hours of free cloud backup which you get with this doorbell. There is also no incentive for someone to steal a Swann doorbell as it will not work on another account until you remove it from your own one, so the device becomes useless to the thief. For customers that wish to subscribe to our optional Secure+ plans, Swann will also cover the cost of a replacement device if you provide a police report advising it was stolen. -SD, Swann Team.
