  • Questioncan this camera be wired to display footage on monitor?

    Asked by CAM.

    • Answer Hi Cam. No. This is a wireless camera, so it cannot be directly wired to a monitor. It can only be paired with the Swann app and viewed on your phone If you’re looking for a system that allows viewing on a monitor, you'll need a Swann system that comes with a recorder or hub (such as an NVR, DVR or NVW unit).

  • QuestionIs this a good camera for a business setting ?

    Asked by jessica.

    • Answer Hello jessica. Thank you for reaching out with your question. These cameras can be used in any setting. Keep in mind, since these cameras will operate over Wi-Fi, it is important that your camera be placed in an area where the connection is not likely to be interrupted. On the other hand, wired systems are less likely to be interrupted by Wi-Fi signal issues. Wired cameras transmit video signals through a cable connection to a central hub such as DVR or NVR. One of the advantages of a wired system is that the feed to your recorder remains safe and reliable. Wireless systems send footage from cameras through a Wi-Fi connection. Some advantages of wireless systems are easy and clean installation but the signal may be limited based on your home's Wi-Fi. Some of our wireless cameras require power while others are completely wireless.
