Hi Melissa. Yes, you could mount them to a tree if you wish, the only thing to keep in mind is that the solar panels on the top of the cameras need a good amount of direct sunlight in order to charge the battery. So if your tree creates shade on the top of the camera, then it won't charge from the panel and you'd need to bring the camera indoors from time to time in order to charge it from a wall charger. - SD, Swann Team
