I’d like to clarify how the MaxRanger™ system works: the hub connects to your router via Ethernet or wirelessly, and the cameras pair wirelessly with the hub, not directly with the router. As long as the hub is within Wi-Fi range of your router and the cameras are properly paired, the system will work reliably. The working distance for MaxRanger™ cameras depends on the environment: 1. Open line of sight: tested up to 600m (2000 ft). 2. Obstacles such as walls, gates, or metal objects will reduce range, but 100ft is generally achievable. Q: QuestionCan the cameras be mounted to a tree instead of a wall?

• A:Answer Hi Melissa. Yes, you could mount them to a tree if you wish, the only thing to keep in mind is that the solar panels on the top of the cameras need a good amount of direct sunlight in order to charge the battery. So if your tree creates shade on the top of the camera, then it won't charge from the panel and you'd need to bring the camera indoors from time to time in order to charge it from a wall charger. - SD, Swann Team
