Questionhow many feet does the motion sensor detect motion? have large property and noticed that the closer to the sensor works best, but the farther out the less reliable it is.

- Answer Hello, The camera will be able to detect motion up to 100 feet away. This also depends on the sensitivity you have the cameras set to.

Questionwhy are there only 10fps or 6fps? I have a car going by which is blurry and was reading to fix that you need higher frame rate. Cameras are great and this was not my purpose to see fast moving objects, but it would be nice if there is a way to fix this.

- Answer Hello, The recording store at 10 FPS or 6 FPS to saving storage for the hard drive. There is not way to update the FPS on the DVR.

Questionset intrusion lines on all cameras, but it only shows on one. they work but on live view I see the lines only on camera 1. why?

- Answer This system sends email alerts immediately upon motion detection. This is part of each camera that you setup on the DVR. You can select which cameras you want this to work on or not at all.

Questionnot sure how to phrase this question. I have a 720p tv. Will I loose quality viewing these cameras? If so how much? I guess what I'm trying to say is will I only see 720p even though this is 5MP? Should I upgrade my tv or get 720p cameras?

- Answer Hello, If you the 5MP system is connected to a 720P TV then the cameras will be viewed as 720P on the monitor but they will still be stored on the hard drive as 5MP. Unfortunately, I am not able to recommend upgrading a TV or purchasing a lower quality unit.

QuestionOn swann website SWDVK-849804 dvr4980 which is very similar to this model but has the thermal sensors and is the same price. I don't need thermal sensors,I just want the best night vision,so do these have the same quality or which one is better at night?

- Answer Hello, The cameras offer the same night vision and resolution. The only difference is the thermal sensing technology.

- Answer It plugs straight into your router via an Ethernet cable. In my experience depending on how fast your Wi-Fi is, you will have a delay of a few seconds to a while if you go that route.

QuestionAre these IP cat5 cameras?

- Answer The 5MP cameras in this specific kit are baseband BNC Cameras (BNC + 12v power). The cameras do not use IP at all. The DVR8-4900 DVR included in this package has 8 individual BNC Input channels. You can add 4 additional BNC cameras for a total of 8 (check proper compatibility on Swann's website). The DVR then acts as the streaming server for remote viewing over the LAN or WAN (Internet) using the SwannViewPlus application.
