“I have and older Swann system (H.264) that uses BNC cables to the cameras. It's 14 years old and time to upgrade. Each of the 8 cameras has a power cord and the BNC cables. My question is what type of cable connects your system's cameras?”

Swann DVR systems use BNC + Power cables just like on your old system. These days they are available in 1080p or 4K resolutions. Please note that your older cables may or may not work with today’s cameras, it would depend on the quality of your existing cables. Swann’s NVR systems use network (Ethernet) cables and have more advanced features and a more premium price point. -SD, Swann Team
