Hello. Thank you for your questions. You can add the USB antenna to the following recorder series: DVR-4480V, DVR-4580V, DVR-4680, DVR-4680X, DVR-4780V, DVR-4980V (4 channel), and DVR-4980 (8 and 16 channel), DVR-5580, DVR-5680, NVR-8580. The Wi-Fi range is up to 100ft/30m (depending on local conditions: if there are no walls in between and no other wireless devices around.) The typical range is up to 50ft / 15m for decent Wi-Fi signal strength if there is at least 1 wall or multiple wireless devices within range. Hope this helps. LV - Swann Team
