“I’m really leaning toward buying this Volt model as I like the way it looks (not too chunky) but am wondering about the hidden battery. What is the average life-span of the battery? What do I do if it needs to be replaced 3 or 4 years down the road?”

Batteries are rated to last 600 charge cycles. Most batteries work well past their charge cycle rating, albeit with significantly less charge retention. That being said, 600 charge cycles multiplied by 32 miles is 19.2K miles, so you shouldn’t have problems with the batteries for the foreseeable future. Replacements are possible through Geek Squad or a bike repair center.
