Once you set the switch up you can get free games and also purchase them on the app store. You can also buy some games that won't be downloaded on the switch and they will only be on there when you insert the game in them.When buying the switch it should say bundle and show a game if not you have to purchase games separately.

The Nintendo Switch does not come with a game unless it is part of a bundle, like the "Nintendo Switch with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Console Bundle". The packaging will show if it comes with a bundled game.
