It is not crisp. It is more like DVD quality.

The player can be viewed from different angles but for some reason when watching DVD’s, the color black looks a bit strange. It’s not really bad and it’s only on the DVD’s. I think the screen quality is best you can get for a portable Blu Ray player and buying this will give you hours of entertainment.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The two movies I viewed with my portable were very clear and I had to be careful of the natural light because it will wash out lighter sceneries. I plan to use it on my flights (use caution, NO R or X rated pictures because you do not know who your seat mate will be). My R rated films has mostly to do with excellent drama (books I have read). The pictures were not cloudy. It is an excellent DVD/CD player. Try music or films. Both are excellent.
