• It's ok, you can understand what is being said, but these are small speakers. You can plug in external speakers or use headphones for higher quality.

• I'm all into high quality sound, so in my opinion it's poor, fairly shrill. Even with a decent pair of earbuds it still lacks bass and surprisingly there are no bass/treble adjustments. You can however adjust speaker size setting which really isn't noticeable with earbuds but may with a larger external speaker which I will try tomorrow. (just got it today). With the advancement of small speakers over the past few years I would have thought they could have done a little better with the sound, but overall pretty pleased so far.
