• Yes, as this phone is a GSM type phone that is used in most of the world. I would recommend that you use it on WIFI for calling unless you purchase a sim card in the country that you are visiting. Your mobile service provider will let you know of the details for operation out side of the USA

• It has world GSM bands. You need to get tmobile to unlock the phone before you can use other company's sim card.

• We love the T-Mobile European travel benefits on our plan, and we used the phone very successfully in Italy. The Nokia mapping and routing app worked especially well.

• You got me on that one, I would say as long as the service works the phone should work. But I wish I hadn't bought this phone, I can't send or receive text with pictures.
