Yes, as this phone is a GSM type phone that is used in most of the world. I would recommend that you use it on WIFI for calling unless you purchase a sim card in the country that you are visiting. Your mobile service provider will let you know of the details for operation out side of the USA

It has world GSM bands. You need to get tmobile to unlock the phone before you can use other company's sim card.

You got me on that one, I would say as long as the service works the phone should work. But I wish I hadn't bought this phone, I can't send or receive text with pictures.
