You don't need to subscribe to cable, all signals are from your antenna, i use roku as well to get a wider set of viewing options. I use my wifi for internet so no additional expense for roku or tablo

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Our 4th Generation Tablo DVR connects to your router so as to be able to stream over-the-air TV to multiple compatible devices on the same network. The internet connection is necessary to keep the Tablo up-to-date, to set the correct time and to pull down proper TV guide data. That being said we are making software changes so that our 4th Generation Tablo can still access over-the-air TV when there are internet outages or technical server issues with Tablo. While an iOS/Android phone or tablet is required for setup, once your Tablo's set up, they are not needed.
