The Tablo Dual can only playback media that it (the Tablo) has recorded. Other content that was recorded from other devices can not be accessed/play back by the Tablo. For example, the only “input” to provide to the unit is via a thumb drive. The Tablo uses a proprietary file system so even if you had recorded material from another source (such as a DVR) already recorded on the thumb drive, the Tablo would need to re-format the thumb drive “first” before it is usable on the unit and therefore erase whatever was currently on it. Please note, all the footage on that thumb drive would be lost permanently if you allow the Tablo to format that thumb drive. The unit’s intent is to offer playback of only “Over-the-air” recordings it itself makes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this will not play tapes. It is for watching or recording over the air TV channels, it records them to an external hard drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. This is a network OTA DVR. You hook up an antenna to it and hook it up to your home network. It only plays live tv and recordings you have made on it.
