Not quite sure what you're asking, but DVDs are not an option with this or any smart TV products or digital TV products that I'm aware of. I agree that it would be great to come up with a DVD option (like the DVD recorder I have from years ago) because there isn't any other way to save a program for posterity or to share with other people.
