“Will this work if you DON'T have internet? Can the built-in WiFi be used to connect up to it from my phone? If I am watching tv without internet, can I click on my WiFi, play games on my phone while watching TV using the built-in Wi-Fi w/o internet?”

• I'm almost positive you need internet for this. You stream the Tablo app through a smart tv or streaming device.

• This device is amazing, so I'm not sure why you would want to go that route. Theoretically it seems like it would work for me. I however would recommend a better solution to your inquiry and it's the Mediasonic HW130STB available for around 30 dollars on Amazon.
