The Dual has two tuners allowing you to watch or record two different channels at same time. The Quad has four tuners allowing four at the same time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Quad can record 4 simultaneous programs, while the lite can only do 2. The Quad also has a bay for a adding an internal hard drive. Some nice upgrades, but personally not worth it in my opinion. I have the lite with an external drive and am very happy with it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same function, but the quad allows recording of four separate programs at once vs. two for the dual.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In one sense, yes, both are DVRs. The quad had four tuners, the dual has two. Two tuners means you can watch one channel while recording another, or record two channels at the same time. Four tuners adds two more options to record/watch. Also, some of the DVRs have a built-in hard drive for recording, others you must have/purchase an external hard drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The dual has 2 receivers, the quad has 4 receivers. The dual can receive (and record) 2 simultaneous broadcasts, the quad can do 4 different stations at a time. It is like having 2 TV's versus 4 TV's in the house.
