It works well like this. Only thing I don't like is you get a nag screen warning you your Cloud DVR has expired. It lasts for about 10 seconds or until you play something.. This is suppose to go away after 30 days after your free subscription expires. Let's hope.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Short answer, YES! I do the same thing right now, because I’m too cheap to pay for a stupid programming guide. If I have a specific series I like to watch, I set the Tablo to record a specific day and time each week on whatever channel I want. No problems with that whatsoever.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can, and you can give the recording a meaningful name like Chicago Hope or Masterpiece theater. Also, I went ahead and bought the lifetime subscription for the guide service. It is nice because it is not the lifetime of the box, it is your lifetime. So if I upgrade to a Tablo 4 I can transfer the subscription over. I'm so far really satisfied after 6 weeks.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, without a Tablo subscription, you can create a one-time manual program or a repeating manual program.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can record without their subscription, they just make it more difficult. If you get a chance to read the review I recently posted, I talk about that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With the latest update they've made it even easier to manually record. You can create manual recordings straight from the guide now. Just click on the program and a screen comes up asking if you want to create a one time or repeating manual recording. It automatically names the show and time for you. You just have to select the days.
