• For up close, autofocus shots, both the Nikon (you mentioned) and Tamron (in this ad) will be the same if they have same lowest f-stop number. e.g. Tamron 18-200 has f/3.5, check your Nikon's f-stop. I personally like the cheaper and (almost) equally effective Tamron for my shooting purposes.
