Yes , it works fine with the Canon 70 D but it helps if you pre-focus on something in the distance especially if you're trying to get a bird in flight , Pretty decent with stationary subjects , you might try fine tuning the focus with the manual override . Great reach but feels heavy after a few hours . Feels like I'm carrying a baby . Get a strap for the lens in case it pops out of the camera . like my Tamron 18-400mm did . Loved that lens , now it's a paperweight .
