I purchased this lens in November 2016 for shooting women's college lacrosse. Lens is definitely fast enough and takes great pictures but, I am finding that I really didn't need the range as much as I thought I would it's almost too long and lens is heavy. Really need a lower aperture and am now looking for a 70-200 or 300 with 2.8.
