Yes it will work if your laptop is on your lap. That is how I use mine so I know it works this way.

We used this on a 14 hour drive and had it on a lap the whole time, it worked really well and keeps your legs cool too!

Yes, absolutely ! It is basically plain surface with fan inside. I also use this for other electronic device while they get heated, just need to connect to any USB port (ex. cell phone adapters) for power supply.

It should be ok. Just has to be level or put some not skid strips or something similiar on the bottom of the laptop so that it doesn't slide around.

Yes- i think it will be fine on your lap, though it is not cushioned for comfort.

It will work on your lap, but I can't see it being very comfortable for extended times.

Sits comfortably on lap but can still feel the warmth of the laptop since bottom is open, and air doesn't move through the sides. I didn't like it for lap use. Better made for desk or some other flat surface, IMO.

This product did NOTHING AT ALL for me. It was quiet, the fans turned, but there was NO temperature reduction.

You will find using this product in your to be very awkward. Because it is made of rigid plastic it has been my experience to not use it in my lap. I use mine on desk with a level surface and it works fine there.
