Can the IPad be held vertically with this cover? null

not really it doesnt like to stay, best not do it, it'll fall over.

Yes. You can fold the cover into several different positions. This allows an option to have it stand vertically.

You can hold it in any direction; but it does not rotate so you can hold it, but there is not way to prop it up vertically
