• this thing has two fans and is working great for me. i see no reason why it shouldn't work well for you too...just have to have an available usb port for it.

• I was having the same problem and decided to try the dual fan space saving chill mat. OMG what a difference. It has the fans you are looking for and it is still light weight. I have not had a single problem with it. Best purchase you can make for a laptop that is too hot to sit on your lap.

• The fan does not have any software or drivers. It only uses the USB for a power source, so it will work on a Mac just fine.

• I have an HP and the computer fan stopped working so I received notices concerning shutdown due to excessive heat. I purchased a Targus fan stand and it has successfully alleviated the problem and has been in use for over 30 days. Working for a computer with no fan so might be worth a try for your problem.

• This is a flat fan that you put under the laptop. It will cool it right down in a hurry.

• It fits a 17" laptop so if your Mac isn't bigger then that it will work.
