I haven't had that happen, but if I angle it to far then it'll tip over; like anything else. Or to avoid that from happening I just put something behind the top to keep it from tiping over.

Also, you can really move the part with your IPad in it in any direction you want, so as long as you don't hyperextend it, you won't have any problems.
