• The speakers sound great with this case... The speakers are not covered, regardless of what you have heard. At least with the iPad Pro.

• Actually, at first I said it didn't but they do have speaker openings that channel the sound perfectly. They are visible from the front view not the sides.

• There are four vertical slots (two top and two bottom) that face the front of the iPad along the rim of the case. They direct the sound from the speakers forward. Quite an ingenious design in my opinion.
