• A:Answer It is magnetic. It appears to be some sort of rubberized plastic (stiff like plastic but with some give like rubber). Whether it is built as 1 piece or not I don't know/care, but it is 1 piece for the consumer.

• A:Answer This is a very good quality IPad case. It has a very thin soft layer inside the case to protect the screen. However, I would alway suggest also buying a screen protector for your iPad. A screen protector will help protect your iPad’s screen if you drop it, or set something heavy on your iPad.

• A:Answer To etch your name on the iPad you will need to talk to Apple or the place of purchase. For the case we are not able to emboss or etch a name into it.
