• It's permanent -- but does not interfere at all with the screen.

• The fact that a manufacturer would so prominently display "Entry level" is hostile to the consumer IMHO, and nearly constitutes a bait and switch loss leader. The good news is that despite the claim that it is permanent it is quite easy to remove. My model had the badge, which was affixed with what seemed to be double sided thin foam adhesive. There is enough space between the side of the screen and the batch to slip in a thin knife and cut through the foam, then clean off any remaining from the screen. Takes about 2 min with a sharp thin knife or single sided razor blade.
