Can you plug in your vcr/ DVD player? null

Yes - I hooked up a combo dvd/vcr using an rca adapter that takes the red yellow & white rca plugs from the player and brings it down to 1 input plug for tv. Had to order on amazon for about $6. Its basically a 3 in & 1 out “splitter”
