When i purchased this tv the AV adapter does work fine and i used it for a dvd player. I recommend you closely inspect the adapter and socket to ensure nothing is in it that could be causing an issue. If it still does not go in all the way, have someone else try it. If it’s still an issue then it might be faulty and you will need to return your tv to bestbuy or bring the dongle (AV adapter) into bestbuy and have them insert it into a TCL tv that is on display to see if the adapter or the tv is at fault. One of the TCL tv’s i purchased had an issue with the WI-Fi not working at all. But since it’s plugged into an ethernet jack i did not want to take the time to replace it. It’s possible that your TV has a fault.
