Yes you can as long as you have the internet. Try Youtube, Tubi, Crackle examples. Roku has so many free Apps. Show time, Hulu, usually offers free trials for first time subscribers. Hulu 30 days Showtime only 7 days. Directvnow had a long running promo for 10.00 per month for 1st 3 months or they offer free Roku or Fire Tv with 1st month paid up front . Each family member having. free trial accounts extends the life of your ability to stream for free or really cheap. Bottom line just look through the apps there is so much free stuff and even live tv on several apps. ABC, NBC. FOX etc. You can look at some live tv shows if there in your area. In some cases you need a subscriber for live tv packages in order to use some of the apps but the apps are worth being looked at to see if your able to view without a subscriber. Take advantage of Sling credit Best Buy gives with a purchase of a device or TV. I have 3 offers since I purchased a Roku, TCL Roku TV and a Toshiba TV. I'm not sure if they have to be used by a certain time. Since my Directvnow is ending soon I will use one of my credits and then see if my family can sign up for the other 2 30 day offers which would be 3 months free live TV service only if I can find away around possible signup issues. Its worth a try. Philo on Roku is a great price too at 16.00 per month for I think 32 + channels. There is no way around Philo like having several accounts if you want freebies with because they track your account through your mobile phone. Only one 7 day trial and you have to pay the piper unless you have several cell phone numbers. News junkies can watch CNN go. Look a little closer to possibly find some live news on that App. MSNBC is a little harder. Their is an android APP you can get that on and you can cast it to your tv screen. Start slow and start building and you will find mostly everything you want to watch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, roku will give 1000 of different thing ,not sure how you get 30 days free sling. but directv now is also a good one . we use that. works very well
