“I am hooking DirecTV up to this TV via HMDI. When I power on TV and DirecTV box, will TV automatically display DirecTV picture or will I then have to sift through the inputs and select that option? Also, is DTV remote programmable to TV?”

You can program the TV to power on directly to your cable box by going to Home>Settings>System>Power>Power on>Select the input that your cable box is connected to. Additionally, our TVs are compatible with most Universal and cable remotes. Many Universal and cable box remotes can be programmed to control certain features on the TV. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When setting up your new TCL tv, the setup will ask you what is connected to that input you connected your directv cable box to. For example if you choose HDMI 1, then label HDMI 1, cable box. After initial setup, at power up you will choose cable box as if it is one of the apps on your Roku. You will then have Directv displayed and then use your Directv remote as usual.
