The 50" model does not support Game Accelerator 120, that answer came directly from TCL Customer Support. Also when searching for an answer to why my 50" Q5 had no option for 1080/1440p @ 120hz I came across this section from a rtings.com review. "Even though the TV has a 60Hz panel, it can do 1080p @ 120Hz natively, and 1440p @ 120Hz with resolution halving through TCL's Game Accelerator 120 feature, but this feature is only supported on the 55-inch and 65-inch models.
