The unit that I received didn't have any banding. Just very mild vignetting in the corners that's really not even noticeable.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nothing to bad on the ones I have seen but we really wont know that for another month or so as more people buy the TV. I heard it got better throughout the year but new models may reintroduce that issue due to new manufacturing techniques.
