“Is the TV screen non-glare, as there's a large sliding glass door nearby? I struggle to hear the voices on my old TV. Would a sound bar help make the voices clearer? However I don't want to hear the base or sound effects, because it's distracting for me.”

Yes, the picture quality is great, better than the other tv’s. The sound quality could be better, but it is good enough. I plan to buy a sound bar. The cost savings on the tv, versus other models, offsets the price of the sound bar.
