The series number is how they classify the TVs with better panels/features etc. TCLs 6 series is the tv that has the most options including HDR10 and Dolby vision support. They make a 4 5 and a 6 the 6 being the most expensive top of the line option with the most features and brushed aluminum finish.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Series 6 is currently TCL's best. Which has local dimming and a much faster refresh rate. The series 4 does not and has a slower response time, which might be ok for just watching TV, but if you or your children are going to be playing a PS4 pro or Xbox one X, you should get the 6 series. You can compare them on different YouTube reviews. There are definite reasons the series 6 55" costs more than a series 4 65". You'd be able to tell, if you had them side by side. And immediately, if you were trying to play 4k video games on both.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most tv makes have something like the series or type, like different models of a car. The higher number or lettet has better features or performance. It may upgrade to a smart TV, smart remote or more importantly a better processor... I bought a new 60" 4k HDR Black Friday special. (Lowest type 4) After set up and calibration it had a worse picture using 4k videos than our 3 year old 55" 1080 TV that had a better processor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I may be wrong; but when I was doing my research before buying the TV, it was related to release date, not necessarily year but time frame. I also learned in the 6 series there are three models; 615, 617, and 613. The 617 is the only one with voice command on the remote, I think. Sorry, I couldn't be more help. If you search it, it comes up on most reviews as a good TV; one flaw is dark corners and something about gray color in white screens. Good Luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nothing beyond the fact that it’s the model number so you’ll know it’s different than the other sets and the 55 indicates size.
