• My understanding is 'no'. The remote seems to be the only difference between the model 617 that everyone else sells and the model 615 that Best Buy sells exclusively. I did find that I paid $100 less for the 615 at Best Buy than what any other retailer was asking for the 617. To me, it was worth it.
